The 1200 Spacio machine is a 5-axis CNC machining center designed for machining thick solid wood parts, such as timber frames, stair cores, handrails, and other structural elements. Thanks to its generous dimensions and great flexibility, it can naturally handle any other type of woodworking parts, offering optimal versatility for industrial workshops and custom woodworking manufacturers.
The 1200 Spacio is equipped with a 10-position linear tool changer and/or a 16-position rotary tool changer, enabling considerable time savings during tool changes and continuous production. The 2-D positioning laser projects the drawing of the part to be machined onto the table, facilitating precise positioning of the vacuum pods and the part, and thus reducing preparation time before machining.
The heavy part loading system incorporates four pneumatically retractable ejectors, enabling easy movement and placement of panels, stringers, and doors. The machine also integrates a Sick scanner, delimiting the safety zone without cluttering the space with light barriers, and limiting the number of elements present in the work area for optimal safety.
With a power range of 11 to 13 kW and travels of 6,000 to 8,000 mm on the X-axis, 1,700 mm on the Y-axis, and 650 mm on the Z-axis, the 1200 Spacio offers extensive machining capabilities for large solid wood parts. The rotations around the vertical axis and the 5th axis are unlimited, ensuring maximum freedom for complex and multi-angle machining.
Robust, precise, and versatile, the 1200 Spacio is ideal for workshops seeking to combine productivity, safety, and machining quality, particularly for large and structural parts in woodworking and timber framing.
